Civil Site Design v16.2 – Out Soon

We are currently in the final stages of testing Civil Site Design v16.2 and we expect to release this update within the next 2 weeks.

Along with some minor bug fixes and improvements, this release contains the following new features:

  1. A pasted/combined surface can now be outputted from Model Viewer as a Civil Site Design surface (All versions).
  2. A volume surface can be outputted, which allows designers to display cut/fill shading or add cut/fill labels (AutoCAD and BricsCAD versions).
  3. Point Clouds can be imported into Model Viewer. Users can select and delete points and also output a Civil Site Design surface from this data (All versions).
  4. The Model Viewer base surface triangulation now honours the triangulation of the surface specified (All versions).
  5. Surface simplification can be applied to the base surface in Model Viewer. This option will improve performance in Model Viewer when large data sets are used. For 3d visualisation, it is not always necessary to use all triangles from a model (All versions).
